A sultry mic commissioned by Nina Gantriis, AD of Zetland Media to accompany Zetland’s readers’ best stories under the theme of ‘sex’, 2024.

“At Folkemødet on Bornholm, I was given 45 minutes to perform an experiment. The idea was to lure people to the Zetland stage to tell personal stories in front of the microphone. Stories about sex. Lust and desire. Sexuality.

We opened the microphone to sex stories on Bornholm. And then the secrets came pouring out.”

A piece on the Danish lumpfish which was very close to extinction at the beginning of 2024, mainly because lumpfish roe is an auspicious delicacy in Denmark.
But thanks to severe restrictions that eventually turned into a complete ban on fishing lumpfish, the species has made a full recovery and is no longer under threat - a rare story of nature conservation winning!

Lastly, the third piece in the series questions whether the magic and lore of the fashion industry as it once was has been lost. The protagonist speaks on how the golden age, concepts and glamour of Vogue originally sparked her interest in the industry, how now fast fashion and consumerism have replaced the big ideas and dulled the magic.

But the journalist in this story herself is  chronically addicted to being online, and writes about how this 'nonsense' is actually a language with infinite reference constantly morphing.
